Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2026 /Kabar/. A delegation from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan is participating in the 29th session of the Intergovernmental Council on the Exploration, Use, and Protection of Subsoil Resources of CIS Member States, currently taking place in Minsk.
According to the ministry, this forum serves as a crucial instrument for interstate cooperation, facilitating the exchange of geological information, the planning of future collaboration, and the rational use of resources across the CIS region.
Delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are participating in the event. It is specified that the CIS Intergovernmental Council on Exploration, Use, and Protection of Mineral Resources is a sectoral cooperation body of the Commonwealth of Independent States that coordinates interaction among member states in the fields of geology, subsoil use, and the environmental protection of mineral resources.
