Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov participated in the first meeting of industry ministers in the Central Asia – Republic of Korea (C5+1) format.
According to the ministry, during the meeting, the parties discussed key areas for expanding industrial and investment cooperation:
industrial cooperation and production localization;
deep processing of mineral raw materials;
development of industrial parks and industrial infrastructure;
transportation and logistics;
creation of new production chains.
The minister informed the participants about Kyrgyzstan's significant industrial, investment, and infrastructure opportunities, as well as the priority areas identified in the country's National Development Program until 2030.
This interaction contributes to the creation of a new production ecosystem combining modern technologies, production, personnel training, and the distribution of finished products to regional markets.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding on industry and supply chains was signed between the Republic of Korea and the five Central Asian states.
