Kyrgyzstan participates in Global EITI Conference in Brussels

Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. The delegation from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision, led by Deputy Minister and Director of the Kyrgyz Geological Service Amantur Tursuniyazov, is participating in the global conference of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Brussels.

According to the ministry, a working meeting took place during the conference between Amantur Tursuniyazov and EITI Executive Director Mark Robinson.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current dynamics of cooperation, future areas of collaboration, and organizational matters related to the upcoming EITI validation process for Kyrgyz Republic. It is noted that the 2026 EITI Global Conference brings together over 1,000 representatives from governments, companies, civil society, and development partner organizations.

The conference’s main theme is "Transparency for Shared Prosperity."

During the event, participants discuss open and accountable natural resource governance, building trust among the state, business, and society, attracting responsible investment, and improving the quality of decision-making in the extractive sector.
