During working visit to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China (XUAR), Deputy Chairman of Kyrgyz Cabinet Erlist Akunbekov held talks with the heads of several Chinese companies on bilateral cooperation in investment, production, and processing.
First, Deputy chairman Erlist Akunbekov met with Hou Qijun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sinopec Corporation.
During the meeting with Sinopec Corporation, the sixth-largest oil and gas company in the world, projects to establish joint production and processing ventures in the oil and gas sector, as well as in renewable energy, were discussed.
Furthermore, Deputy chairman Erlist Akunbekov held talks with the heads of Chinese companies such as CIECC Planning and Design Research Co., Ltd., Beijing Huafu Engineering Co., Ltd., and others. and Shaanxi Construction New Energy Co., Ltd., regarding the construction of a mineral fertilizer plant in Kyrgyzstan.
During the negotiations, the Chinese companies proposed a project to build a urea and nitrogen fertilizer plant in Kyrgyzstan.
At the meeting, it was noted that this project has high investment potential, and its implementation will contribute to strengthening the country's food security, providing local farmers with mineral fertilizers, and developing the country's industrial potential.
