Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan presented opportunities for developing technology entrepreneurship and venture capital financing at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Startup Forum, held at TAJ-TECH 2026 in Dushanbe.

According to the National Investment Agency, Meerimbek Koichumanov, Deputy Head of the Agency, spoke at the event about the conditions being created for technology entrepreneurship, digital support for investors, and cooperation with SCO countries.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan adopted the Law On Venture Capital Financing in 2026, which creates a legal framework for attracting investment in startups. The law provides for modern financial instruments, including an agreement on the right to a future stake in a company and a convertible loan.

Energy, water resource management, and logistics were identified as priority areas for digital cooperation. The implementation of smart metering, load forecasting, and digital freight management helps reduce losses and costs, improve resource efficiency, and shorten delivery times.

The automated information system "Investments" is also being prepared for commercial operation and is being updated with up-to-date data. The system integrates information on investment projects, relevant documents, and approval stages to systematically support projects and improve the efficiency of interactions with government agencies.

The National Investment Agency is ready to continue exchanging experience with SCO countries and facilitate the implementation of new investment and technology projects, the agency said.
