Kyrgyzstan presents third generation Single Window system at WTO

Bishkek, Dec. 10, 2025. /Kabar/. New training course on Single Window systems, developed jointly by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the World Bank, was presented at the World Trade Organization headquarters.

Nurbek Maksutov, representative of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic on WTO issues and Deputy Chairman of the UN Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT), attended and delivered a speech at the event.

He emphasized the high importance of developing and implementing digital tools in foreign trade, noting that effective Single Window solutions play a key role in modernizing trade processes, increasing transparency, and strengthening competitiveness.

According to Nurbek Maksutov, Kyrgyzstan has been consistently developing its Single Window system over the past few years, from the first version in 2012 to the current third generation. These efforts create a solid foundation for increasing the transparency and efficiency of trade procedures.

This course is an important tool for countries in the region, as it covers the organizational, legal, and technical aspects of Single Window systems. Particular attention is paid to interoperability, the ability of national systems to effectively interact with each other, which provides tangible regional benefits.
