Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2026 /Kabar/. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, proposed considering the launch of a direct flight between Bishkek and the Chinese city of Sanya. He made this proposal during a meeting with Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang in Hangzhou.
Kasymaliev noted the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China and expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for introducing a visa-free regime allowing Kyrgyz citizens to travel to Hainan Island and transit through China for up to 10 days.
Against this backdrop, the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers proposed considering the possibility of launching a direct flight between Bishkek and Sanya.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed key issues regarding bilateral cooperation and the implementation of agreements reached by the heads of state during the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kyrgyzstan in August of this year.
