Kyrgyzstan proposes to protect children's mental health in Minsk

Bishkek, 03.07.26. /Kabar/. Asel Chynbaeva, the representative of Kyrgyzstan for Children's Rights, participated in VII meeting of the Commission on Children's Rights (Ombudsmen) of the CIS Member States, held in Belarus.

During the meeting, the participants discussed topical issues in the field of protecting children's rights, strengthening the family, preventing violence against children, ensuring the psychological well-being of minors, and improving national legislation in the field of protecting children's rights.

In her speech, Asel Chynbaeva touched upon issues related to the mental health of children and adolescents in Kyrgyzstan. She noted the need for timely identification of problems, development of local support systems, and strengthening interdepartmental cooperation. He also noted the importance of improving child care practices and developing long-term measures in this area.

As a result of the meeting, the participants confirmed their commitment to further develop cooperation, share best practices, and work together to improve mechanisms for protecting the rights and legitimate interests of children in the CIS member states. In accordance with the decisions taken, the chairmanship of the Commission of Commissioners (Ombudsmen) for Children's Rights of the CIS member states was transferred from Belarus to Kazakhstan.
