Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2026. /Kabar/. The first batch of modern transformers has arrived in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan reports.
According to the ministry, the equipment is being purchased under Component 2, "Digitalization of the Distribution Network," of the "Modernization and Sustainable Development of the Electric Power Sector" project.
For this purpose, a contract worth 41,640,000 soms signed with AllianceSpetsTekh LLC provides for the delivery of 90 sets of instrument transformers.
The total value of the first batch is 13,638,000 soms. It includes modern current and voltage transformers rated for 10 and 35 kV.
"The new equipment will ensure accurate measurement of electrical network parameters, improve the reliability of relay protection and automation systems, and contribute to improved security and stability of the power supply," the statement says.
