Kyrgyzstan, Russia discuss range of pressing issues

Bishkek, July 6, 2026. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev and Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin held a bilateral meeting.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that the two countries maintain a robust political dialogue at the highest levels, consistently develop trade, economic, and interregional cooperation, and implement large-scale joint projects. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening the strategic partnership.

During the meeting, the chairman invited the Russian prime minister to visit Kyrgyzstan to participate in the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which will be held in August in Cholpon-Ata. The Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum and the Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference will be held on the sidelines of the upcoming Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, in turn, noted the importance of further work to deepen bilateral cooperation.

During the talks, a range of pressing issues on the Kyrgyz-Russian agenda were discussed. Particular attention was paid to trade and economic cooperation, cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, transport and construction, education, and culture.
