Bishkek, April 3, 2026 /Kabar/. Bakyt Torobaev, Special Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for Special Assignments, met with Nicholas Bowler, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers reported.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-British cooperation. Bakyt Torobaev, recently appointed Special Presidential Representative for Special Assignments, noted that in his new capacity he is responsible for developing the real sector of the economy and attracting international investment.

In this regard, he emphasized that the Kyrgyz side is ready for mutually beneficial investment partnerships with all countries, including the United Kingdom.

Bakyt Torobaev noted the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral Kyrgyz-British relations.

Particular attention was paid to trade, economic, and investment cooperation: growing interest in Kyrgyzstan among British business circles was noted, as evidenced by the successful holding of the 4th meeting of the Kyrgyz-British Business Council in February of this year in London, with the participation of major British companies.

Nicholas Bowler noted the importance of strengthening economic and investment ties between Kyrgyzstan and the UK, expressed the willingness of British companies to operate in the country, and confirmed the UK's interest in the progressive development of bilateral cooperation, including the joint implementation of industrial and infrastructure projects.

The parties agreed to continue their collaboration to further strengthen the Kyrgyz-British partnership.
