Kyrgyzstan is interested in the opportunities offered by Belarusian health resorts and medical centers to improve the health of its citizens, the National Tourism Agency told BelTA following a meeting between agency’s Director Kirill Masharsky and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belarus Erbol Sultanbaev.
The parties discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation and prospects for expanding interaction in tourism. Special attention was given to the development of medical and wellness tourism.
“Kyrgyzstan has expressed interest in the Belarusian health resorts and medical centers to improve the health of its citizens. An important outcome of the talks was Kyrgyzstan’s confirmation of its intention to participate in the International Spring Tourism Fair Otdykh [Leisure] 2026, which will be held in Minsk on 9-11 April,” the National Tourism Agency noted.
At the exhibition, Kyrgyzstan’s partners will have the opportunity to widely showcase their national tourism products and establish direct contacts with representatives of the Belarusian tourism industry.
“Strengthening partnership with Kyrgyzstan is considered one of the promising areas within the broader expansion of cooperation across the CIS,” the agency added.
