Bishkek, Jan.28, 2025. /Kabar/. The incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections is decreasing in Kyrgyzstan.
The Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance reported that in the 4th week of 2025 (20.01-26.01), 11 thousand 441 cases of ARVI and 53 cases of influenza were registered in the country, which is 2.6% down compared to the last week.
Of those who fell ill, 5% (563 patients) were hospitalized.
According to the results of laboratory tests, since October there has been a circulation of acute respiratory viral infections, with the prevalence of respiratory syncytial virus - 29.9%, rhinovirus - 25.2%, adenovirus - 13.2%, parainfluenza I-IV - 12.1%, other viral infections amounted to - 19.6%.
Since mid-December 2024, there has been an influenza season due to influenza A/(H1N1(2009) and isolated cases of influenza B - 13.2% and COVID-19 - 6.8%.
In order to timely organize anti-epidemic measures and prevent outbreaks, the attendance of school children after the winter vacations is monitored.
