Bishkek, Aug. 10, 2026 /Kabar/. Recycling technology is being used for the first time in Kyrgyzstan during the paving of the Kant-ABZ road.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, this technology involves processing the old asphalt layer directly on-site using specialized equipment. Crushed stone and other necessary materials are added, after which the road base is formed before laying the new asphalt.

A new layer of asphalt is then laid on top of the prepared base.

The use of this technology reduces costs and conserves natural resources. Furthermore, the method shortens construction time and accelerates road reconstruction and repair work.

It is noted that this technology has been widely used in other countries for many years.
