Bishkek, July 14, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ulan Mamatkanov participated in the event "Dialogue of Civilizations of the SCO Countries - 2026".
In his speech, he noted that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Over the past quarter of a century, this association has transformed from a mechanism for strengthening trust and security into one of the most influential international platforms that consistently develops cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and scientific and technical spheres.
"For Kyrgyzstan, the SCO is not only an important mechanism for regional interaction, but also space for creating an atmosphere of trust, mutual respect, good neighborliness, and joint development. Our country views the chairmanship of the SCO as an opportunity and a great responsibility to give additional impetus to the further development of cooperation within the organization.
Kyrgyzstan consistently supports the strengthening of the principles of mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, respect for cultural diversity, and the pursuit of common development - these are the basic principles that have gained international recognition as the "Shanghai Spirit." Today, these principles confirm that sustainable international cooperation is possible only when it is built on respect for the sovereign choice of each state, equal partnership, and readiness to take into account each other's interests," Mamatkanov said.
The Deputy Chairman noted that today, in a world where the world community is facing rapid technological changes and profound transformations in international relations, the ability of states to conduct meaningful dialogue, respect cultural diversity, and seek joint responses to the common challenges of our time is of particular value.
