Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2026. /Kabar/. Trade unions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at further developing and strengthening interaction between trade union organizations in the two countries, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan Muradil Jumadilde uulu told during the meeting with Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan, Chillazoda Karakhon.
According to the Federation, the document opens new opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation, including combining efforts to protect the labor, social, and economic rights and legitimate interests of workers in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
"For us, the working person, their rights, safety, decent working conditions, and social security has always been and remains our primary value. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have historically enjoyed friendship, good neighborliness, and mutual respect. The agreement signed today aims to further strengthen these relations at the trade union level," noted Muradil Jumadilde uulu.
As part of this cooperation, the parties intend to exchange experience and information in the areas of labor relations, occupational safety, social guarantees, and the development of the trade union movement.
It is noted that special attention will be paid to protecting workers' rights, strengthening guarantees for decent and safe work, and supporting joint initiatives aimed at increasing the level of social and legal protection for workers.
