Bishkek, April 16, 2026. /Kabar/. Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliev held talks with the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda.
According to the parliament's press service, the meeting, held in Istanbul, focused on strengthening relations between the two countries and expanding interparliamentary dialogue.
Mamataliev noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in strengthening good-neighborly and friendly ties with Tajikistan.
"Resolving border issues has elevated the partnership between our two countries, whose peoples have long lived side by side, to a new level. This has also contributed to the development of trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and interregional cooperation. To further expand the existing interaction, we need to strengthen ties at the interparliamentary level," he said.
Furthermore, the speaker invited Tajik athletes to the 6th World Nomad Games, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan this September. He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is not only a close neighbor to Tajikistan but also a reliable partner.
Idizoda, speaking about the need to develop interparliamentary relations within parliamentary friendship groups, noted the importance of close cooperation at international forums such as the IPU, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
Furthermore, he invited Speaker Marlen Mamataliev to a meeting of the Interparliamentary Union on Climate Change, which will be held in Tajikistan on May 22-23.
At the same time, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in all areas and successfully implement the agreements reached between the two countries.
