Kyrgyzstan to build 32 medical institutions this year

Bishkek, July 14, 2025. /Kabar/. This year, 32 new medical institutions are being built in Kyrgyzstan, the head of the information policy service of the presidential administration of the country Daiyrbek Orunbekov told.

“Five years ago, when Kyrgyzstan was hit by a wave of coronavirus, the strength of our healthcare system was tested. The consequences of the pandemic became an important lesson for the future. Five years have passed since then, and Kyrgyzstan has set a course for development, changes are taking place in all areas. Medicine has not been left behind. Gradually, much is being restored and updated,” he wrote.

The official noted that the state pays special attention to healthcare. Financing for this sector increases every year. For example:

— 26.3 billion soms were allocated for healthcare in 2021,

— in 2024, the amount almost doubled and amounted to 42 billion soms,

— 49.6 billion soms are allocated for 2025.

“These are not just numbers — there is a goal behind them: every citizen of Kyrgyzstan should have access to quality medical care in their country,” he wrote.

This year, 32 new medical institutions are being built:

— 5 in Bishkek,

— 2 in Talas Oblast,

— 6 in Osh Oblast,

— 3 in Chui Oblast,

— 4 in Issyk-Kul Oblast,

— 9 in Jalal-Abad Oblast,

— 2 in Naryn Oblast,

— 1 in Batken Oblast.
