Bishkek, Nov. 2, 2026 /Kabar/. Ravshanbek Sabirov, Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan, and Kanybek uulu Urmat, Director of Nukura Pro LLC, have signed an investment agreement for the construction of a dairy processing plant valued at $7.7 million. The signing ceremony took place on October 30 as part of the "Open Cabinet: Territory of Responsibility" project.
The facility is set to be built in Shopokov, located in Sokuluk District of Chuy region. The total investment amounts to $7.7 million, with $5.4 million provided through a credit agreement with the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. These funds will be allocated for the construction of the plant, the procurement of technological equipment, and the execution of construction and installation works.
The project is expected to create up to 50 jobs. The plant’s products will be supplied to the domestic market and also exported to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Signing this agreement allows the project to be included in the Registry of Investment Projects, granting it access to customs preferences stipulated by law.
According to Ravshanbek Sabirov, Head of the National Investment Agency, the implementation of this project will contribute to the development of the domestic dairy processing industry and expand Kyrgyzstan’s export capabilities.
"On October 21, during a national meeting focused on Kyrgyzstan’s strategic development priorities for the next five years, President Sadyr Zhaparov raised the issue of promoting the country’s export potential. At that time, a directive was issued to ensure that our dairy products are represented in the retail outlets of neighboring states. We intend to intensify our efforts in this area, in collaboration with the Association of Milk Producers. Should any financial needs or other issues arise, we stand ready to provide assistance," Sabirov noted. Kanybek uulu Urmat, Director of Nukura Pro LLC, stated that the company specializes in the production of natural fermented dairy products.
"We are keen to contribute to the country's economy by leveraging the opportunities provided by the agency," he emphasized.
The launch of the enterprise is expected to boost demand for raw milk from local farms and increase tax revenues for the state budget.
