Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2025 /Kabar/. All private driving schools in Kyrgyzstan will be closed. This was announced by Kanybek Tumanbaev, head of the Presidential Administration, during the presentation of the new-generation biometric passports for 2025.

According to him, as part of the reform of the driver's education system, it is planned to transfer driver training entirely under state control.

"Schoolchildren aged 16 and above will be trained in municipal schools, while adults will attend state-run driving schools," Tumanbaev noted.

The authorities have previously repeatedly stated the need to tighten control of the quality of driver training and improve road safety.
