Bishkek, Aug 5, 2026. /Kabar/. Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, met with Chinese Ambassador Liu Jiangping, according to the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyz Republic.
Following the meeting, the parties signed an external implementing agreement for a project to supply machinery and equipment to the ministry.
The project is being implemented under the Agreement between the People's Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic on the Implementation of Bilateral Technical and Economic Assistance Projects, dated March 26, 2015.
As part of the grant assistance, the ministry will receive 370 units of specialized equipment worth a total of 148.9 million Chinese yuan. The equipment is intended for Water Resources Service units engaged in the mechanized cleaning of irrigation canals.
