Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2026 /Kabar/. The Bek-Abad checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border in the Suzak district will be reconstructed. Bakyt Torobaev, special representative of Kyrgyz president for special assignments, and Tilek Tekebaev, Jalal-Abad region governor visited the checkpoint.
According to the Jalal-Abad region governor, the delegation inspected the current infrastructure of the checkpoint, the conditions created for citizens and vehicles, and issues related to improving the border crossing process.
They noted the importance of upgrading the infrastructure of the Bek-Abad checkpoint to meet compliance with the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as ensuring unimpeded and efficient border crossing for citizens and vehicles.
Following the inspection, the relevant officials were given instructions to reconstruct the checkpoint and improve its infrastructure.
