Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan discuss expanding practical cooperation in agricultural sector

Bishkek, July 15, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan discussed issues of further expanding practical cooperation in the agro-industrial complex.

According to the information, First Deputy Minister Ilich Marsbek uulu held a working meeting with Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Kahramon Yuldashev.

The parties considered promising areas of cooperation in the areas of rice cultivation, seed production, potato cultivation and livestock farming. The issues of joint testing of agricultural crop varieties, exchange of breeding achievements and seed materials, mutual supply of agricultural products, introduction of modern technologies, development of livestock breeding and strengthening cooperation between scientific institutions of the two countries were also discussed.

As a result of the meeting, the parties noted the importance of implementing priority areas of cooperation at a practical level and agreed to implement joint projects and initiatives in the agricultural sector, expand the exchange of experience, develop production cooperation, attract investments and strengthen cooperation between agricultural producers of the two countries.
