Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2026. /Kabar/. In Bishkek today, a meeting was held between the Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Mukambetov and Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Saidikram Niyazkhodzhaev.
According to the Ministry of Defense, during the meeting an exchange of views took place on current issues of bilateral military cooperation between the countries, as well as on the prospects for its further development.
During the meeting, issues of implementing agreements in the military field between states, exchanging experience between military personnel and holding joint events were discussed, and prospects for training military personnel were also touched upon.
At the same time, issues of preparation for the next meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states, scheduled to be held on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, were considered.
The meeting participants expressed their readiness to strengthen further bilateral contacts in the field of defense in the interests of ensuring stability and security of the two countries.
