Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2026. /Kabar/. First Deputy Minister Tilek Mamadaliev held a working meeting with World Bank team, as part of a mission to support the implementation of the Primary Health Care Quality Improvement Project.
According to the ministry, during the meeting, the parties discussed the project's implementation results and further measures to strengthen primary health care, including improving the quality of medical services, developing digital tools, human resource capacity, improving procurement mechanisms, and efficiently using resources.
"For us, the development of primary healthcare is a key priority. It is essential that the reforms we are implementing lead to concrete changes for patients: improved quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of medical care. International cooperation and the use of best practices are particularly important in this area," noted Tilek Mamadaliev.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the results of the World Bank's analytical work on human resources and healthcare costs, as well as preparations for the regional workshop on healthcare financing for Central Asian countries, which will be held in October.
Furthermore, they discussed prospects for further funding of project activities and the development of medical infrastructure, taking into account environmental and social requirements.
Following the meeting, the parties identified next steps and agreed to continue their joint work.
The World Bank mission will run from August 24 to 28 and will cover issues of primary health care, human resources policy, digitalization, financial management, procurement, and healthcare infrastructure development.
