Bishkek, July 20, 2026. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan, together with the UN World Food Programme (WFP), continues to implement projects to support low-income families.
Since the beginning of 2026, 127 infrastructure, training, and income-generating projects have been implemented across the country. These projects benefited 3,643 low-income families, totaling 18,285 people, ministry reports.
Through these projects, families received over 1,151 tons of food aid, including flour and vegetable oil.
In addition, the ministry implemented 36 emergency support projects for the most vulnerable groups in selected cities across the country. Assistance was provided through the "Cash for Community Service (Training)" scheme.
These projects benefited 1,320 low-income families, or 4,782 individuals. The total amount of funds disbursed amounted to 19.1 million soms.
The ministry noted that the projects are aimed at supporting families in difficult life situations, developing public infrastructure, and creating conditions for low-income citizens to acquire new skills and increase their incomes.
