Bishkek, July 27, 2026 /Kabar/. The 23rd International Competition of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Member States "Art of the Book" was held in Minsk, Belarus, on July 23-24. Kyrgyzstan achieved historic success, winning a total of nine prestigious awards.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, representatives from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and the CIS Executive Committee participated in the prestigious international competition.
Following the competition, Kyrgyz publications were awarded the following prizes:
Grand Prix – 1;
Special Prize – 1;
First Place – 1;
Second Place – 3;
Third Place – 3.
This success is further confirmation of the high international recognition of Kyrgyz publishing art, printing, publication design, and book culture.
Winning the Grand Prix is particularly significant, demonstrating the high competitiveness of contemporary Kyrgyz book art internationally and strengthening the authority of Kyrgyz culture on the global stage.
State Book Chamber considers this victory the result of the fruitful collaboration of authors, designers, publishing houses, research institutions, and all specialists working in the field of book publishing.
It should be noted that the official ceremony presenting diplomas and awards to the winners of the 23rd International Book Art Competition will be held in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan.
This achievement is a convincing confirmation that Kyrgyzstan is among the most successful participants in the competition among the CIS countries and will go down in history as an important milestone, strengthening the international prestige of national book art.
