Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2026 /Kabar/. From September 18 to 27, the World Junior and Cadet Kickboxing Championships were held in Jesolo (Venice, Italy). Young athletes from 80 countries participated in the world championship, according to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Following the competition, the Kyrgyz Republic National Kickboxing Team demonstrated high skill and added four medals (one gold, two silver, and one bronze) to the country's tally.
Winners and Runners-Up:
Abuubakr Alimov, in the 48 kg (Low Kick) weight category, became the Junior World Champion, winning the gold medal;
Daniel Drozhzhakov, in the 57 kg (Low Kick) weight category, won the silver medal;
Samir Liu, in the 67 kg (Low Kick) weight category, took second place and won the silver medal;
Rabiya Israilova, in the 44 kg (Low Kick) weight category, won the bronze medal.
