Bishkek, March 26, 2026. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyzstan Sambo team successfully competed in the international tournament "Sambo Founders' Cup," which was held from March 24 to 26 in Moscow, the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports reported.
The competition brought together more than 200 athletes from 10 countries.
At the end of the tournament, Kyrgyzstani athletes won three bronze medals:
Alay Sartov (up to 71 kg, sport sambo);
Zhandos Esengaziyev (up to 79 kg, sport sambo);
Adil Turatbek uulu (up to 64 kg, combat sambo).
The tournament featured top athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, and Russia.
