Bishkek, July 1, 2026 /Kabar/. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan continues preparations for the 2026 harvest campaign.
According to the ministry, machine operators at agricultural enterprises and farms are currently actively repairing and preparing equipment for seasonal fieldwork.
Currently, the readiness of agricultural machinery in the country is as follows:
The total number of tractors is 22,358 units, of which 21,043, or 94%, are technically ready for operation;
1,836 grain harvesters, of which 1,434, or 78%, are ready;
4,298 hay mowers, of which 3,934, or 91%, are ready;
3,985 balers, of which 3,596, or 90%, are ready;
423 grain cleaning machines, of which 368, or 87%, are ready;
8,942 tractor trailers, of which 8,150, or 91%, are ready.
Total area of grain crops in the republic estimated by 486,090 hectares. 1,822 grain harvesters will be used for the harvesting campaign. On average, one grain harvester covers 267 hectares of crop area.
