Bishkek, Aug 4, 2026. /Kabar/. The country will not develop without investment, Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, said in Kabar podcast.

"If we take developed countries, I recently visited Qatar, one of the richest countries, where the country's population is 400-500 thousand people, and 5-6 million migrants work there. "Let's take Saudi Arabia, America, Europe, Japan, and China. They have their own domestic investors, but they still attract foreign capital. Because state cannot grow and develop without investors," he said.

The head of the Cabinet also noted that Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov has set a goal of GDP growth rates not falling below 9-10%.

"The economy is growing every year, so maintaining high growth rates is becoming more difficult. Maintaining this momentum requires billions in investment. This requires stability and public trust. They bring high technology to us and build large factories, but our workers don't yet have the skills, so migrants come. They come, build the facility, and leave. Our main requirement is that Kyrgyz citizens continue to work there. Our citizens are even specially trained and prepared for this," said Adylbek Kasymaliev. The chairman also emphasized that there were no specialists to build the waste processing plant, so Chinese workers arrived, built it, and left. "Now, only a few engineering specialists with sophisticated technology remain. But they are now training our Kyrgyz citizens," he explained.
