Bishkek, Nov. 21, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's processing industry is a key economic pillar, creating added value based on the country's agricultural, mineral, and industrial potential. It accounts for significant portion of non-resource exports, particularly in the food and light industries.
Kyrgyzstan's processing industry has demonstrated steady growth since 2020, significantly outpacing some other industrial sectors. The main drivers are food production, pharmaceuticals, textiles, petroleum products, and woodworking.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, 415 large and small enterprises were registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2024, and 34 trade and logistics centers were operating.
In 2025, the number of enterprises reached 441, increase of 26 enterprises, and the number of trade and logistics centers increased to 38. Total investment in the processing industry since the beginning of 2025 amounted to 29 billion 402 million 44 thousand soms. 2,718 jobs were created.
