Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. As part of his working visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain on February 4, 2026, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Saudi Arabia, Ulukbek Maripov, met with Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the further development and deepening of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The ambassador noted the importance of the speedy establishment and launch of a Kyrgyz-Bahraini joint intergovernmental commission and holding its first meeting in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2026, implementing bilateral visits, expanding the legal framework between the two countries, and launching direct scheduled flights between Bishkek and Manama in the near future.
In turn, Sheikh Salman Al Khalifa thanked the ambassador for the information provided and the proposals made and expressed his readiness to provide the necessary assistance through his ministry on all issues raised.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further advance issues on the bilateral agenda and continue the necessary work to further strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
