Issyk-Kul, Aug. 2, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, August 2, the main stage of the competition – the UIM F1H2O World Powerboating Championship Grand Prix – began on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul in the village of Bayet. Swedish driver Jonas Andersson achieved the best qualifying result, taking pole position and leading the grid.

The race features 18 drivers from 13 countries, representing eight teams.inshore circuit

The UIM F1H2O World Championship is the world’s foremost international series of single-seater inshore circuit powerboat racing.

Highly competitive, intensely challenging, risky and entertaining, inshore circuit powerboat racing is the ultimate adrenalin rush and regarded as one of the most spectacular and exciting sports in the world.

The UIM F1H2O World Powerboating Championship is currently holding its historic Grand Prix of Kyrgyzstan. Taking place from July 31 to August 2, 2026, this event marks the first-ever Central Asian Grand Prix in the championship's 45-year history.
