Bishkek, April 16, 2026 /Kabar/. Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Marlen Mamataliev attended the opening of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly meeting in Istanbul (Turkiye), the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.
Parliamentary delegations from 157 countries have arrived for the event, which is taking place from April 15 to 19 under the motto "Cultivating Hope, Ensuring Peace and Justice for Future Generations." The program includes meetings of the General Assembly, standing committees, forums, and thematic meetings.
In addition, Marlen Mamataliev will hold bilateral meetings with the heads of parliament from several countries on the sidelines of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly.
MPs Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, Burul Amanova, Ulan Primov, and Daniyar Tolonov are also participating in the meeting.
