Bishkek, Aug. 17, 2026 /Kabar/. In connection with the SCO summit and the World Nomad Games, Manas International Airport will switch to a special operating mode on August 31 and September 1, according to Airports of Kyrgyzstan.

To ensure the reception and servicing of aircraft carrying heads of state and official delegations, temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of scheduled passenger flights will be introduced during the daytime.

The restrictions will be in effect on August 31 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. During this period, passenger flights will be temporarily restricted due to the arrival of summit participants.

On September 1, the airport will continue to operate under a special regime. Restrictions on passenger flights will be in effect from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

"Airports of Kyrgyzstan" JSC is currently conducting the necessary coordination and informational work with airlines. Carriers are advised to adjust their schedules in advance: reschedule individual flights to available time slots or, if necessary, cancel them," the statement says.

Manas International Airport will not completely cease operations. At night, outside of the restricted periods, the airport will continue to handle passenger flights.

The company asks passengers planning travel on August 31 and September 1 to closely monitor the current schedule, check the status of their flight directly with the airline in advance, and take into account possible changes to departure and arrival times.
