Bishkek, March 12, 2026 /Kabar/. Mass food poisoning occurred in Bishkek yesterday, and the number of victims has risen to 20.
Gulzhigit Aaliev, chief physician of the Republican clinical hospital, told Kabar that 20 people asked for medical care, 19 of whom have been hospitalized. "One patient is in the intensive care unit; his condition has improved today," the doctor added.
Previously, 13 people were injured and 11 hospitalized; all patients ate at the Buffet cafeteria. A report was drawn up against the establishment, a fine of 23,000 soms was imposed, and its operations were suspended.
