Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Energy Minister Altynbek Rysbekov met with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kyrgyz Republic, Iyad bin Ghazi bin Sulaiman Hakim.
According to the Energy Ministry, the parties discussed promising areas of Kyrgyz-Saudi cooperation in the energy sector, including attracting investment and implementing energy infrastructure projects.
Special attention was paid to the potential for cooperation with the Saudi Fund for Development, as well as the participation of Saudi companies in projects to construct and modernize generating capacity, develop energy infrastructure, implement energy storage systems, and improve energy efficiency.
The meeting also discussed Kyrgyzstan's possible participation in the 25th World Energy Congress, which will be held in Riyadh from October 11-15, 2026.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on promising areas of energy cooperation and the development of specific investment projects.
