Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2026. /Kabar/. Ministry of Energy shared its plans for 2026 at meeting of Jogorku Kenesh Committee.
Minister Taalaibek Ibraev outlined the following plans:
- develop an intergovernmental agreement on the Kambarata HPP-1 project;
- Sign the project for the construction of the upper spillway at Kambarata HPP-2;
- complete the modernization of two hydroelectric units at Uch-Kurgan HPP;
- develop and complete the feasibility study for the Kazarman and Suusamyr-Kokomeren hydroelectric power plants;
- complete internal procedures for Kemin-Balykchy 500 power transmission line, select a contractor, and begin design work;
- sign an investment agreement for the Kara-Keche TPP project and develop a feasibility study;
- develop a plan for the implementation of the Upper Naryn Cascade of hydroelectric power plants;
- attract investment for the Chaldovar HPP project.
