Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2025. /Kabar/. In 2025, with the assistance of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, 25,391 new jobs were created in the country, the ministry reported.

The social contract program made a significant contribution to employment growth. This year, the amount of social assistance under the contract was increased from 100,000 to 150,000 soms. As a result, 13,331 social contracts worth 150,000 soms were signed across the country.

The ministry notes that the increase in the amount has encouraged more families to participate in the program, improved their financial situation, and enabled the expansion of small businesses. This has increased economic activity, especially in rural areas.

In 2025, 13,964 new jobs were created under the social contract, with 90% of the participants being women, primarily living in the regions. The most popular sectors were:

  • agriculture – 77.7%,
  • services – 8.9%,
  • manufacturing – 7.3%,
  • trade – 6.1%.

To expand their entrepreneurial projects, participants also receive interest-free loans of up to 200,000 soms for up to three years. In 2025, 1,101 participants in the social contract received this support.

An additional 10,716 jobs were created through paid public works aimed at developing regional social infrastructure, and an additional 711 jobs were created through personal assistant services.

Ministry emphasized that the social contract program remains a key tool for supporting employment and developing small businesses in Kyrgyzstan.
