Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration Kamchybek Dosmatov reported at ministry board meeting on the positive results of state programs in 2025.
According to the ministry, the labor market situation remained stable, with the official unemployment rate at 1.4%, significantly lower than previous years (2021 – 2.9%, 2022 – 2.8%, 2023 – 2.9%, 2024 – 1.8%). 56,500 people were registered with employment services, a 20% decrease from the same date in 2024 (70,600), while 38,100 people were officially unemployed (22% lower than in 2024).
The number of employed people reached 17,500, with 19,800 participating in active programs.
It is noted that special attention was given to the "Youth Internship" project, aimed at improving the professional skills and employing young professionals. As part of the project (2024–2025), monthly salaries were provided to internship participants in 30 pilot districts and cities, reaching 3,000 young people.
Also in 2025, 1,851 people completed internships, of which 1,332 were employed.
"Today, they work in public and private organizations in various professions: cashiers, specialists, social worker assistants, nurses, loan officers, engineers, economists, HR specialists, massage therapists, hairdressers, auto electricians, and design assistants," the statement says.
