Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2026 /Kabar/. The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) discussed prospects for cooperation in the development of electric mobility, the creation of charging station infrastructure, the modernization of the railway industry, and the implementation of digital solutions in the road sector.
According to the ministry, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Baktyluu Mombekov met with ADB representatives on February 26.
Particular attention was paid to creating favorable conditions for the development of electric transport and ways to improve the regulatory framework.
The meeting also addressed the implementation of road condition analysis systems, the use of intelligent solutions and data analytics, the development of mechanisms for prioritizing investment based on safety, climate resilience, and technical condition, and the use of weather stations and mobile laboratories for road monitoring.
ADB representatives expressed their willingness to share international experience and tools to improve the efficiency of road infrastructure management.
