Ministry of Transport plans to pave 457 km of roads in Kyrgyzstan this year

Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2026. /Kabar/. First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Beknazar Bazaraliev announced at Jogorku Kenesh Committee that the total road construction budget for 2026 is 39 billion 111 million soms.

According to him, 1.5 billion soms of this amount is allocated for internal roads in the city of Karakol from the stabilization fund; 20 billion 680 million soms are allocated for capital investments, of which 17 billion 680 million soms are for the construction of Barskoon-Bedel road; 7 billion 949 million soms have been allocated for the road fund, and this amount may increase as additional funds become available.

In total, 457 km of roads are planned to be paved in 2026 in the following regions:

Chui Region – 83 km

Naryn Region – 74 km

Talas Region – 61 km

Issyk-Kul Region – 58 km

Osh Region – 76 km

Jalal-Abad Region – 65 km

Batken Region – 37.4 km
