Cholpon-Ata, July 30, 2026. /Kabar/. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev described the establishment of allied relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan as a historic day.
He noted that as a result of many years of hard work with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, all important issues between the two countries were resolved positively.
“Congratulating Sadyr Zhaparov on his first day as president, I realized that a leader who loves his people and wishes them happiness has come to Kyrgyzstan. In recent years, we have tried to resolve all issues in a spirit of friendship and mutual understanding,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Uzbek leader noted that the political will of the two presidents was important in bringing the relations between the two countries to a new level, and today Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have achieved allied relations.
“Today is a historic day for our relations. We have reached the highest level of diplomacy and established allied relations. This is the result of many years of difficult and responsible work,” he said.
Mirziyoyev highly appreciated the achievements in Kyrgyzstan, noting that the country’s development is the result of political will and good governance.
He noted that the highest state award of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Order of Manas, awarded to him, is of particular importance.
“I have received awards from many countries, but this order is special for me. Because I perceive this award as an assessment of the friendship and brotherly relations between the two peoples,” said the President of Uzbekistan.
Mirziyoyev thanked Sadyr Zhaparov and the Kyrgyz people and noted that Uzbekistan is ready to continue supporting the development and reforms of Kyrgyzstan.
