Bishkek, July 16, 2026 /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, 7,042 social contracts were signed throughout the country in the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration reported.
According to the ministry, the largest number of projects are being implemented in agriculture.
It is noted that the "Social Contract" program has been implemented since 2022 at the initiative of the president and is aimed at supporting families through developing their own businesses and creating a sustainable source of income.
Initially, the amount of state support was 100,000 soms, but starting in 2025, this amount was increased to 150,000 soms. Experience has demonstrated the program's high effectiveness: among the first participants, 15 families have already achieved an annual income exceeding 1 million soms.
Most of the project participants are women, primarily living in rural areas.
In 2026, 13,334 low-income and needy families are eligible to participate in the project. Each will receive 150,000 soms in state support to implement their own business project.
Furthermore, the Ministry is implementing an interest-free loan program for participants in the "Social Contract" project. Since the beginning of 2026, 150 people have received preferential loans, allowing participants to expand and develop their existing businesses.
Applications for the "Social Contract" program are still being accepted. For more information, citizens can contact the ministry's regional offices in their area of residence.
