Bishkek, May 25, 26. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Republic Open Mountain Bike Championships kicked off on May 24 in Ortosay village, Alamudun district.
According to State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the competitions are held in cross-country and downhill.
The championship is organized under the auspices of the International Cycling Federation (USI). About 50 athletes are participating. Based on the tournament's results, participants will be awarded points for the international ranking.
Seven athletes, five boys and two girls are competing from the Zhenish Youth Sports School. Representatives from Balykchy city and international guests from Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and England are also participating in the championship.
