Bishkek, April 6, 2026 /Kabar/. Munarbek Seyitbek uulu, a member of the Kyrgyz national boxing team, won the Ahmet Cömert Bosphorus International Boxing Tournament on April 5. The State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
The competition took place in Istanbul, Turkiye, from March 29 to April 5. The athlete competed in the 60 kg weight class and confidently completed all stages of the tournament.
In his opening bout, he defeated Uzbekistan's Tilav Suponov, and in the quarterfinals, Australian boxer Darcy O'Malley. In the semifinals, Munarbek faced German boxer Denis Bril, also defeating him 5-0, advancing to the final.
In the decisive final bout, the Kyrgyzstani athlete confidently defeated Ukraine's Ivan Zavadskiy by unanimous decision, 5-0.
