Bishkek, Aug. 27, 2026. /Kabar/. The temporary permission to export US dollars issued before 2006 from Kyrgyzstan abroad has been extended until March 1, 2027.
According to National Bank, such a decision was made by the National Bank Board on August 24. Old banknotes are allowed to be exported abroad for the purpose of exchanging them for other cash or non-cash US dollars.
In addition, the National Bank has declared the temporary order regarding transactions with the Kazakh tenge invalid. Accordingly, the previously applied restriction on the purchase rate of cash Kazakh tenge against the som has been abolished.
