Bishkek, July 14, 2026. /Kabar/. Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev told journalists about the strengthening of the material base of the country's music schools within the framework of the "Open Cabinet: Area of Responsibility" media project.
According to the minister, there are currently 101 music schools operating throughout Kyrgyzstan. In addition, there are schools and universities that train specialists in the field of culture.
"In this direction, work is being carried out to support young talents and improve the material and technical base of educational institutions. This year, we plan to purchase musical instruments for more than 100 million soms for music schools. We are also considering purchasing the necessary inventory for 70 million soms," the minister said.
He also noted that work has been resumed on the re-establishment of vocal-instrumental ensembles (VIA) in order to expand the creative potential of young people in the regions. Last year, 21 sets of equipment were provided to music schools and VIA groups, and this year it is planned to purchase another 31 sets.
