Bishkek, Aug. 17, 2026. /Kabar/. The preparations are underway for the completion of construction and the official opening of the Regional Aquaculture and Fish Farming Center in Ton district, Issyk-Kul region.
Leaders and specialists from the Department of Fisheries held a meeting with the Director of the Korea Maritime Institute, Joe Jeong-hee, and representatives of the institute.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the completion of the center's construction, preparations for its official opening, and the preparation of a full package of necessary documents in accordance with legislation.
Following the completion of all necessary procedures, the facility is scheduled for acceptance.
Representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and Dream House LLC are also participating in the project.
The project aims to develop aquaculture and fish farming in Kyrgyzstan, introduce modern technologies, and strengthen cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea in this area.
